If you haven’t already, we strongly encourage our grantees and fellow funders in New Jersey to register now for the Cultural Data Project webinar on Monday, December 13 at 1 pm, hosted by The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Dodge Foundation are considering leading an effort to bring the Cultural Data Project (CDP) to New Jersey. We will be looking for your feedback after the webinar, and if there is significant interest, we will need your participation to get this project jumpstarted in New Jersey.

Operated by the Pew Charitable Trusts, the CDP has been a crucial tool to gather statewide economic data on the impact of the cultural industry. Organizations participating in the CDP are able to track trends, assess progress, and compare themselves to similar organizations using sophisticated reporting tools. Over 9,700 arts and history groups and 170 grantmakers in eight states (California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania), are currently using and seeing the incredible value of the Cultural Data Project.

For more information on how the CDP benefits grantmakers and grantees, please follow this link. If you still need convincing to participate in the webinar, check out how other states are using this data to advocate and tell compelling stories on how the arts are valuable to the quality of life.

Once you register you will receive an e-mail with instructions for joining the session. In order to participate you will need simultaneous access to a broadband internet connection and a phone.

This presentation has been arranged with the Cultural Data Project by ArtPride NJ Foundation, Council of NJ Grantmakers, Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and NJ State Council on the Arts
