WHAT WE DO: Since our founding in 1973 Young Audiences New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania (YA) has grown into the regions largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit arts education organization serving in each of New Jersey’s 21 counties and the seven easternmost counties of Pennsylvania.
Young Audience’s mission is to inspire young people and expand their learning through the arts. We partner with schools, parents, artists and funders to provide the best in arts education for our children through high quality performances, workshops, residencies, teacher professional development, family and community workshops and field trips. Our programs are child-centered, outcome driven and measurably effective. The goals of all of our programs are to infuse arts programming into schools so that students EXPERIENCE extraordinary art and artists, UNDERSTAND the value of art and creativity in the world, CREATE art that engages the imagination and expresses ideas, and CONNECT art and the creative process to classroom learning and life.
WHY WE’RE GREAT: We never stop working to fulfill our vision — a future in which all students in the region have the opportunity to engage in quality arts learning that nurtures creativity, cultural awareness, and the development of critical thinking and learning skills.
Over the past 40 years, Young Audience programs have affected the lives of 11.5 million children.
HOW YOUR DONATION WILL HELP: Imagine a world where every child has access to the arts. This is the world we are working to create.
