<description>Perhaps the most identifiable culprit behind the complex problems that we are facing on a global scale is the thinking that guides and drives our most influential institutions and organizations. And, whether we like it or not, thinking, analyzing, and problem solving are, at least in part, learned in schools.

Today&#039;s students have the most to gain or lose from our response to complex global challenges, yet schools have paid little attention to this unprecedented opportunity in changing our current trajectory and engaging youth in inventing their future. However, there are schools across the country that are integrating the concepts and practices of Education for Sustainability and providing examples of how we can re-imagine the power of schools in creating a sustainable future.
