Methinks the "why do I write?" question shows up a lot in the life of a writer, and coming to a place of decision that it's a practice is a BIG one. When it's no longer an imperative (you've got write to get those emotions on the page or you'll explode), but it's now how you process and connect ("shock and shake" too ) ... well, weee; now you're really digging in. Can't wait to see what comes from HERE. :) Great to “see you” here Bridget. This was such a captivating statement and addresses the therapeutic power of poetry. We are a mental health rehabilitation agency who use poetry as a type of therapy for our clients and this quote touches so close to the "forces" our clients deal with. This was a beautifully written post Bridget in response to an interesting question "why write."
